Additionally, the role includes serving as an Administrative Assistant, supporting various administrative tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and ensure the effective operation of bookkeeping functions, including:Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Reconciling bank statements and preparing financial reports Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring

Support the Utility Billing Specialist in managing the Village Sewer Utility:Collect payments and ensure timely deposits Substitute for the Utility Billing Specialist as needed

Serve as an Administrative Assistant:Perform assigned tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the Village Office Support various Village departments and initiatives as required
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, candidates must demonstrate the ability to carry out each essential duty effectively. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications is required. Candidates should also possess knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger systems. The ability to prioritize tasks is essential.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Attendance at a four-year college or vocational/technical school is helpful but not required
- Prior bookkeeping experience is required
- Municipal experience is preferred but not required
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary Range: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
