About the Role

We are seeking exceptional collegiate talent to join our firm. This internship is a valuable step toward a potential full-time opportunity with our firm.

We are seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our firm and gain hands-on experience in public accounting in our Audit, Client Advisory, Tax, or Transaction Services department. This role offers meaningful exposure to client work, collaboration with experienced professionals, and the opportunity to build foundational accounting skills in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Become familiar with firm policies, procedures, and systems
• Support department-specific client engagements and projects based on assigned placement
• Utilize firm software systems along with Microsoft Office and Teams
• Collaborate with team members and communicate professionally with clients when appropriate
• Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines
• Participate in firm-wide networking events and professional development sessions

Requirements

• Accounting or similar major - general knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data
• On track to meet credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements
• Proficiency with or willingness to learn accounting software applications and Microsoft Office & Teams
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Organized, dependable, and eager to grow professionally
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Compensation

At M|H, compensation is designed to reflect an individual’s experience, qualifications, and market conditions within their role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns) for this position takes multiple factors into account, including education, relevant skills, work experience, certifications, and location. As a result, the final offer for the selected candidate(s) may fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $20-25 per hour
