Interim Clinical Team Lead (LCPC/LCSW) - Addiction Recovery

Provide professional counseling services to patients and their families through individual and/or group settings.

Conduct lectures and participate in community outreach activities. Identify concerns and make referrals to other specialists when needed

Documents assessment, care provided, treatment plans and data collection appropriately in the Addiction Recovery patient record and other relative locations.

Provides educational support to the clinical program staff.

Participates in marketing activities of Addiction Recovery to the hospital, clinic, other health professionals and the general community.

Providers leadership to support efficient and effective multidisciplinary service provision in the Department.

Acts as a role model to Clinical team members and supports leadership initiatives for department implementation of evolving best practice (emerging research and treatment skills and frameworks)

Assists leadership with orientation and training of new and existing Clinical team members

Provides assessments for patients with diagnostic impression and treatment recommendations.

Supports patients who are seeking help to change their relationship with substance use.

Supports patients to explore and understand criteria for Substance Use Disorders and how this information can improve change process.

Support patients in identifying, using, evaluating, and adapting skills, concepts, and support which strengthen their ability to change their relationship to substance use.

Helps patients identify resources in their community which support their self-directed Recovery goals.

Supports family members and loved ones in exploring an understanding of Substance Use Disorders and personal navigation of those dynamics.

Supports Clinical team in clarifying relevant needs to maximize understanding and support open communication, and interrupt gossip and hearsay which negatively impact Department Culture.

Supports implementation of evolving best practices among the Clinical team with Leaderships support and guidance. (emerging research and treatment skills and frameworks)

Acts as a point of contact for Clinical team members when needed.

Proactively participates in clinical team meeting, and Department committees to support leadership initiatives and best practice and identify Clinical Team staff needs

Proactively seeks solutions to problems and acts in Good Faith to support the complex work of the Clinical Team, as it works to support people seeking care, as well as other non clinical team members.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to facilitate a variety of evidence-based substance abuse treatment modalities such as motivational interviewing, rational emotive therapy, cognitive therapy, narrative therapy, trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychoeducation, etc.. Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities at various organizational levels.

Ability to integrate best practices and support other members of the Clinical Team in that implementation to maximize consistency of treatment frameworks across the clinical team.

Commitment to remaining engaged with exploring emerging treatment skills and frameworks.
