Overview
Responsibilities
Presents a professional public and phone image for the Carle EMS System
Performs data entry for the EMS System and prepares internal auditing reports
Assists with registration for Carle EMS–sponsored courses
Prepares written and electronic correspondence, including completing state‑required forms and reports
Supports computer analysis and development of reports
Provides services such as data retrieval, chart retrieval, scheduling liaison duties for educational programs, and assistance with implementing education programs
Participates in the IDPH Region Six committee
Assists Carle in recertification processes for Trauma Services, Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and pediatric certification (EDAP)
Collaborates with Parkland College and University of Illinois EMS program directors
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications:
One of the following:
Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (L‑EMT) — Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) OR
- Licensed Paramedic — Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) OR
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) — Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
All of the following:
Driver’s License — Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS)
EMS Lead Instructor Certification — Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) — American Heart Association (AHA), required within 1 year
Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association (AHA), required within 30 days
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — American Heart Association (AHA), required within 1 year
Experience:
- Pre-hospital Paramedic/EMT/RN 2+ years
