Overview
The Medical Assistant plays a key role in creating a smooth, supportive care experience - keeping supplies stocked, ensuring patients move efficiently through their visits, and partnering closely with physicians and nurses to deliver exceptional care to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Perform routine direct patient‑care tasks to support medical and nursing staff during exams and treatments
Maintain a safe, clean patient‑care environment and ensure privacy
Collect and document vital signs for urology patients
Perform point‑of‑care testing (including urine chemstrips), document results, and communicate findings to the provider
Collect and properly process patient specimens
Enter patient medical history and complete medication reconciliation in the medical record
Perform post‑void residual and uroflow measurements and report results to the provider
Assist with examinations and serve as a chaperone during pelvic or other exams upon patient request
Qualifications

Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days
Must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)

High School Diploma or GED (required)
