Overview
Responsibilities
Tracks department/team statistics via Ad Hoc reporting capabilities, such as productivity reports and distributes them.
Identifies opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost reduction and works with appropriate leaders to effect implementation.
Assists in the development of capital and operating budgets consistent with organizational goals
Collaborate with performance improvement teams and quality committees both internal and external to the department to provide technology expertise, gather and analyze data; includes technical specifications alignment and ensure data quality integrity. Must take appropriate steps to ensure data sources are accurate.
Utilize databases and/or software to generate routine and special request reports as requested/required. Coordinate and support audits, collect statistical data and analyze routine and special data for variances and/or opportunities to improve outcomes.
Manage data gathering and timely submission of data for regulatory reporting and benchmarking purposes.
Assists in creating a culture of innovation, learning, teamwork, and professionalism consistent with the organizations mission and values.
Monitors and trends monthly, quarterly, and yearly statistical information that reflects department(s) volumes and efficiency metrics Uses benchmark and utilization data to develop strategies to decrease costs Initiates cost containment strategies and monitoring processes in alignment volume shift and procedural profitability. Utilizes data to develop strategies to decrease cost and identifies opportunities to standardize equipment, supplies and implants. Compares cost per case by physician within each specialty. Attends department meetings and assigned committees as needed Automates reports where possible and identifies ways to improve process of reporting to make reporting more efficient and effective. Approaches problems with systemic and critical thinking, considers issues from all angles, and offers suggestions and solutions that assist departments and leaders. Facilitates requirements gathering with customers at all leaves of Carle system to understand the business needs for reporting an analytics Actively investigate root causes behind variances and discrepancies of data Analyze data with statistical methods, interpreting the results, providing a written summary of data analysis Develop and maintain subject matter expertise of various data areas Participate in the development of best practices for business analysis, reporting and data visualization Coordinate work with cross-functional team members
