Overview
The Manager of the Critical Care Transport (CCT) program(s) is responsible for overseeing CCT programs: AirLife 1, AirLife 2, Arrow South (Richland), Critical Care Ground. The Manager of the CCT Program will work collaboratively with the leadership of Arrow Ambulance, Carle Direct, Carle Richland, and Air Methods Corporation (AMC). In addition, the ability to establish and foster relationships within the region is essential. Must be able to work in partnership with all physician groups/service line programs within Carle Hospital to further the CCT programs.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the flight program, including aviation communications and flight safety
- Oversees hiring, firing and development of CCT crew members.
- Monitor AMC/Carle contractual performance as it relates to flight program
- Lead quarterly advisory meetings between AMC/Carle advisory committee
- Responsibility for all specialty team programs-NICU and High-Risk OB Transport
- Monitor financial performance of all programs within the Critical Care Transport team
- (AirLife 1, AirLife 2, Arrow South, and Critical Care Ground)
- Develop and implement a robust marketing program for all assigned programs
- Develop and implement CCT publicity strategies and community events
- Organizing promotional events for the CCT program.
- Build community relationships with EMS and fire agencies
- Liaison with Carle and AMC executive leadership; collaborative
- Build trustworthy relationships with Airlife and Arrow Medical directors
- Manage relationships/agreements with Carle and external partnerships
- Establish data analysis and performance/operations metrics for both air and ground programs.
- Develop and execute strategic opportunities within the region for air and ground transport
- Particularly in the southern and western Illinois regions
- Meets with specialty team medical directors regularly
- Evaluate transport program expectations and progress
- Establishes AirLife and other CCT programs for Carle Hospital
- Provides recognition, appreciation and superiority among the Carle physicians and Carle leadership team
- Monitor AMC/Carle contractual performance as it relates to flight program
- Liaison with Carle and AMC executive leadership
- Oversight responsibility for the flight program, including aviation communications and flight safety
- Oversight of Arrow South division as manager; will work within the Arrow leadership role.
Qualifications
Certifications:
- Licensed Paramedic - Illinois or
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois
- PHRN, IL within 1 year
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience:
- Flight Crew - 5 years (Preferred)
Other:
- Onsite Olney - 2 days per week
