Overview
The Physicist provides physics support for the Radiation Oncology department. Responsible for quality assurance of all treatment and planning devices in the department.
Responsibilities
Takes radiation measurements on the accelerators and analyzes the data.
Verfies dosimetry calculations done by dosimitrists and technologists.
Performs radiation therapy treatment planning.
Performs QA procedures on all medical radiation devices and radiation safety surveys, which satisfy ACR certification requirements.
Responsible for maintaining, scheduling, creating meeting minutes and oversight for the Radiation Safety Committee

Qualifications
License/Certifications:
Certified Specialist in Therapeutic Radiology Physics - American Board of Radiology (ABR)
Education:
Master's Degree: Related Field (Required)
