Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is looking for a razor-sharp, organized, high-energy, tech-savvy individual to start a career in its growing Partnerships team as a Strategic Partnerships Associate. This position will be a point of contact for global business relationships, and will also be responsible for facilitating agreements with key partners. The ideal candidate must have a keen business sense to capture opportunities that are aligned with Wolfram’s strategy.

Essential characteristics include a solid interest in and understanding of cutting-edge scientific and software technologies, as well as the ability to present to executives and negotiate technical and business terms. This person will manage the partnership projects and customer programs, planning and coordinating a broad range of development activities involving Wolfram technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Operating as the primary point of contact responsible for building strong relationships with strategic partners
  • Representing Wolfram in day-to-day operational meetings as well as periodic vision/strategy/summit discussions with partners
  • Ensuring successful, timely delivery of Wolfram products and services
  • Building consensus across core research and development groups at Wolfram in ways that ensure smooth delivery of products and services
  • Serving as the point person for operational, leadership and technical teams both within Wolfram and externally to partners
  • Establishing best practices for streamlined relationship management via standardized procedures, processes and reporting mechanisms
  • Preparing reports and analyses for executive leadership

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics or a related technical or quantitative field
  • Ability to create and analyze business models
  • Ability to smoothly interact with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and planning
  • High degree of initiative
