Public Works Project Manager
Village of Savoy
The Village of Savoy, Illinois, seeks qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Project Manager in our Public Works department. This position will be assigned to various project needs within public works including but not limited to project development, administration, construction, or other projects as assigned. This is a salaried, full-time, and exempt position with benefits that works under the direct supervision of the Public Works Director and other assigned members of Management.
Minimum Qualifications
• Associate’s (2-yr) degree in construction management, public administration, project management, or closely related field.
• Two (2) years of professional experience in the field of public works, project management, public administration, design and construction, or a closely related field.
• Must possess and maintain an Illinois driver’s license.
• Trustworthy, genuine, and demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a closely related field including two (2) years of supervisory experience in that area.
• Certified stormwater manager or certified public infrastructure inspector through the American Public Works Association.
Compensation and Benefit Package
The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Additionally, the Village offers free individual membership to the Village’s Recreation Center; a comprehensive benefit package that includes paid vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, individual life insurance; 100% employer-paid comprehensive health insurance (employee pays 50% of premiums for dependents); and enrollment in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF).
