Description

The Village of Rantoul is now accepting applications for our 2026 seasonal Aquatic staff.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Dependable, reliable, and strong organizational skills
- Customer service oriented
- Represent Village of Rantoul in a positive manner at all times
Pool Supervisor
- Must be at least 18 years of age, 21 years of age preferred
- Valid Lifeguard certification or able to obtain one prior to the start of the season
- Managerial/Supervisor experience
- Lifeguard experience
- Pay starting at $17.00 per hour
Lifeguard
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Preferred valid Lifeguard (American Red Cross) certification, Professional Rescuer CPR & AED, and Basic First Aid certification
- If not currently certified, must be able to swim 300 continuous yards, able to retrieve brick from 8 feet and swim length of the pool with the brick in your hand and be able to tread water with no hands for 2 minutes continuously in order to be registered for certification
- Course schedule is intensive and requires sustained energy and focus for several hours
- Pay starting at $16.00 per hour
Swim Lesson Instructor
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Comfortable engaging with children and their caregiver
- Starting pay $16.00 per hour
Group Fitness Instructor
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- A welcoming personality and comfortable engaging will all who enter Hap Parker Family Aquatic Center
- Knowledge and understanding of fitness principles and their application to the group setting ability to thrive in a collaborative teamwork environment and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Pay between $18.00 to 24.00 per hour
Swim Team Coach
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Excellent customer service experience and comfortable communicating with parent(s) or guardian(s)
- Stipend $1,000
Front Gate Attendant
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Comfortable and engaging with all who enter our facility
- Basic computer and math skills
- Starting pay is $15.00 per hour
Concession
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Comfortable and engaging with all who enter our facility
- Basic math skills
- Starting pay is $15.00 per hour

No additional benefits are offered at this time for seasonal staff.
