Duties & Responsibilities

Facilitate Signature Inclusive Programming

• Develop and implement signature programming for professional development of employees in ACES.
• Develop and implement signature programming for ACES to increase educational opportunities and community building for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Direct and support inclusion groups and programming for both students and employees.

Provide Individualized Training Opportunities Upon Request

• Facilitate programs, trainings, workshops, and other educational opportunities for faculty, staff, and students.
• Develop curriculum tools and supports for ACES faculty related to topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Serve as a guest speaker for ACES courses to discuss topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion when requested by faculty.

Manage ODEI Communications for ACES

• Increase communication clarity about resources and opportunities across IL campus for all students, faculty, and staff in the college.
• Edit and publish the monthly ODEI newsletter.
• Provide support to ACES’ Inclusion websites by creating, editing, and/or adding resources related to programming, opportunities, and resources.

Community Engagement and Collaborations

• Grow connection to other faculty and staff at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign providing inclusive programming.
• Participate in professional improvement opportunities when appropriate for the role.

Other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
