Duties Responsibilities Pharmacy Services • Dispenses pharmaceuticals and medications prescribed by McKinley providers and included in the Health Center formulary. • Counsels patients regarding their drug therapy and possible side effects. • Checks patient medication profiles to avoid harmful drug interactions. • Operates Pharmacy computer system, including data entry, maintenance, back-up and generation of reports. • Prepares and maintains Pharmacy control records and reports. Pharmacy Security • Secures emergency stocks of drugs, when needed, from area pharmacies. • Locks and unlocks the Pharmacy when on duty during opening or closing; arms and disarms security system as needed. Other • Participates in Quality Assessment activities as assigned. • Responsible and accountable to support and ensure a culture of safety, quality and risk management including compliance with ethics. • Assume appropriate related additional duties to further the mission of the unit.
