Duties Responsibilities Prepares and cooks meats, fish, gravies, soups, sauces, vegetables, cereals, and other forms of food. Prepares and cooks foods for special diets from recipes approved by a Registered Dietitian. Maintains quality, appearance, cleanliness, sanitation, and product levels of serving line during service. Provides courteous service to guests and promotes good customer relations. Assists in controlling food waste by utilizing just in time cooking methods. Cleans and sanitizes refrigerators, kitchen counters, kitchen utensils, and equipment. Prepares and bakes cakes, pies, desserts, and hot breads as required. Wraps and labels products for storage and plans for the re-utilization of leftover foods. Responsible for filling out production worksheets to track food production, product utilization, shortages, including overproduction and/or spoilage/waste. May oversee and train student employees and/or assigned personnel as required. Serves foods as required. Performs other related duties as assigned.
