Job Summary

This position will assist with day to day facility operations of the Coordinated Science Lab which conducts operations in 4 buildings.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for shipping and receiving of all supplies and equipment for the Laboratory, including the Information Trust Institute (ITI), Technology Entrepreneur Center (TEC), Health Care Engineering Systems Center (HCESC) and any other units housed in CSL. • Report issues to the Associate Director for Administration. • Travel to off-site locations as necessary.
  • Perform all necessary logistical requirements in the conversion of facilities and setups for events, banquets, seminars, and conferences including placement of tables, chairs, and other miscellaneous event needs.
  • Perform services and operations related equipment in facility laboratories and special equipment rooms which may include mopping, scrubbing, sweeping, cleaning fixtures, cleaning furnishings and white boards, washing windows and other interior glass.
  • Assist with inventory/equipment records using FABweb. Responsible for affixing property tags and gathering equipment information such as model and serial numbers, location and custodial responsibilities for all new items that meet the inventory threshold.
  • Track equipment loaned to Faculty/Staff. Prepare form and track the status of equipment when form expires.
  • Assist with the daily operations of all spaces assigned to CSL, including submitting F&S work orders and facilitating effective communication.
  • Assume additional appropriate related duties to further the mission of the laboratory.

    Minimum Qualifications

    1. High school diploma or equivalent.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Possession of a valid U.S. driver’s license at the time of hire, which must be maintained throughout the duration of the employment period in the position.

    Appointment Information

    This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 0502 - Research Facility Attendant position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 6/1/2026. The wage for this position is $23.01 per hour. This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization.
