Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Video will serve as an essential part of the video and football staff in organizing, managing and supporting the University of Illinois Football program. The position will assist in all aspects of daily coaching video needs as well as continue to build upon the department to better the goal of the team.Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruiting Video
• Collaborate in creating recruit highlight tapes for coaches and personnel staff to review and evaluate
• Collaborate with creating cutups of recruits used for official visits
• Acquire and organize film for transfer portal players and potential prospects for the staff to evaluate
• Acquire opponent and NCAA film for scouting and transfer portal needs - Video and Data Acquisition and Management
• Assist in creating and preparing game and practice video, cutups, and scouting reports for the staff and players to evaluate within Catapult Thunder
• Weekly and post season self-scout and opponent scout analysis
• Assist coaches and support staff with any projects or research needed for opponent, self-scout or recruiting purposes
• Resolving Big 10, NCAA and NFL games using PFF data - Practice and Game Film Management
• Assist on game day with IGV needs
• Assist with the training and supervision of student staff
• Assist with the filming of games, practices, drills and any additional needs specified by the coaching staff - AV and IT Technical Support
• Troubleshoot IT and AV problems
• Assist with any official visit AV and IT needs
• Meeting room setup and maintenance on campus, and during road games
Minimum Qualifications
Required: • Bachelors degree • Minimum 2 years of experience in football video operations or related field • Demonstrated leadership and management skills • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities • Must be able to communicate effectively with others in a fast paced environment • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekend and extensive air travel • Frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds across the office for various needs
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
• Experience with Catapult Thunder, PFF, DV Sport, 8K Solutions, Microsoft Office, Visio
• Experience with AV and IT support of cameras, projectors, computers and other miscellaneous equipment typical to the job

- Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 5/18/2026. Salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 and commensurate with experience. Work authorization sponsorship is not available for this position.
