Position Description: The University of Illinois Urbana Champaign invites applications for a research scientist in ovarian toxicology (full time, 12 months) in the Department of Comparative Biosciences. Outstanding scientists who conduct research on the effects of environmental chemicals and nanoparticles on the ovary are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in investigators who have a strong reproductive toxicology background. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to ongoing projects on the effects of endocrine disrupting chemicals on the ovary and to develop their own research program in the field of ovarian/reproductive toxicology.

The successful applicant will have access to significant quantitative and computations research resources at the university and is expected to participate and synergize with ongoing quantitative interdisciplinary research efforts on the campus including those in the Interdisciplinary Research Training Program in Environmental Health and Toxicology (https://vetmed.illinois.edu/toxtrainingprogram/), the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology (https://www.igb.illinois.edu/), the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology (https://beckman.illinois.edu/), and the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Institute (http://healthinstitute.illinois.edu/).

Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in toxicology or related field and at least three years of postdoctoral experience in the field of reproductive toxicology. Candidates should have a cutting-edge research program, a strong publication record, and evidence of their potential to compete successfully for extramural funds.

Salary: This is a 12-month position. Salary is $60,000 - $70,000.

Starting date: Anticipated starting date is near or on July 1, 2026.
