Visiting Assistant Director of Compliance

Job Summary

Monitor and educate sport programs to promote compliance with NCAA, Big Ten, and institutional rules. Serve as liaison to Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review and approve team travel rosters, weekly CARA/RARA logs, time management plans, complimentary admissions and other NCAA and Big Ten forms to ensure compliance.
  • Liaison to university Student-Athlete Advisory Committee to provide education and receive feedback from student-athletes.
  • Prepare educational materials on NCAA and Big Ten rules; manage Compliance Office social media.
  • Prepare rules education for student-athletes, analyze information provided by student-athletes on required NCAA, Big Ten and institutional eligibility forms, ensuring NCAA, Big Ten and institutional guidelines are met.
  • Manage Teamworks and ARMS platforms, responsible for daily management of software, including coordinating educational efforts for coaches and staff, serving as liaison between software company and department, provide support and troubleshooting to coaches and staff.
  • Review department expenditures related to recruiting, team travel, team meals, awards, and other student-athlete expenses.
  • Assist in the preparation of NCAA surveys, reports and certification of compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in sports management, information management, business management or related field Experience in intercollegiate athletics and knowledge of NCAA rules, as well as proven ability and desire to work independently and perform accurate, detail-oriented work.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a collegiate student-athlete and/or experience with NCAA Office.

  • Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required.

Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 7/1/2025. Salary is $50,000 - $60,000 commensurate with experience.
