Job Summary
This position provides championship caliber support to the women's basketball program to enhance the quality and efficiency of video services, scouting, practice and game preparation and recruiting. This position is expected to operate in a manner that promotes a life changing, student-athlete experience.Duties & Responsibilities
- Video Services, Scouting and Recruiting –
• Collaborate with the basketball coaching staff to obtain and review practice and game film with the goal of game plan and player preparation;
• Study opponent’s game plan and schemes, analyze data and chart tendencies to facilitate the planning and execution of practice and game preparation;
• Evaluate athlete’s skill and review performance records to determine strength and weaknesses of opponents;
• Collaborate with coaching staff to synthesize their input into the playbook and create the playbook as assigned;
• Work in coordination with the coaching staff in the off-season to plan, create, and implement philosophies for the team;
• Formulation and organization of data analysis in a manner useful to strategic team philosophy and improvement;
• Assist in the production, editing and management of video material of game and practice footage for the evaluation of the coaching staff and team;
• Support coaching staff requests of detailed analytics reporting related to game preparation, individual and position specific skill development;
• Collect, analyze and database prospective student-athlete film for the consumption of the coaching staff;
• Identify, evaluate and recruit qualified prospective student-athletes to participate in the program, and successfully promote the academic and athletic programs;
• Assist in the coordination of official and unofficial visits, engaging with prospective student-athletes and their families in a manner that attracts their enrollment;
• Assist in the completion of required documentation of all recruiting activities; and
• Promote the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program to include adhering to all departmental policies and procedures as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA. - Team Operations
• Assist with other team events and projects as needed to help improve the performance of student-athletes and the basketball program in accordance with NCAA regulations; and
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, and/or the Director of Basketball Operations.

Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications, computer technology, creative services or related field Experience: Required: Two years of collegiate coaching experience at any level of relevant administrative experience

- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position. • Knowledgeable and skilled in using Hudl, Synergy, Sportcode and Just Play • Knowledge of iPad usage by team and coaching staff members • Experience with Adobe CC Suite, specifically Premier and Photoshop. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work in team environment.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 5/19/2025. Salary range is $43,888 - $47,000 commensurate with experience.
