Shoot, produce and implement coordinated creative videos for Illinois football social channels and recruiting.Duties & Responsibilities
Recruiting Video
- Work with the Director of Branding and Director of Graphic Design on brand objectives for the football program in recruiting that meet the brand standards set by the athletic department and Nike.
- Strategically create and help develop a year-round plan involving new designs concepts, videos, and official visit plans to attract top student athletes to the University of Illinois.
- Responsible for all aspects of the production process from start to finish: Conceptualizing, coordinating, writing, shooting, and editing videos for Illinois Football.
- Collaborate as a part of the design team and with all external units in DIA, with the goal of elevating and carrying the visual brand through to all forms of communication, including email, printed materials, in-venue and football building displays.
- Develop multiple unique ideas for content that aids in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
- Shoot and edit video of prospective student-athletes on official visits.
- Work with the Director of Branding on shooting and editing institutional videos to aid in recruiting prospective student-athletes.
- Create positional highlight videos for coaching staff to use on unofficial and official visits.
- Actively engage with prospective student-athletes and their guests during visits, creating a standout and memorable experience.
- Additional projects requested by the Head Coach.
Football Video
- Utilize creative knowledge to advance the Illinois Football brand through video content.
- Collaborate with DIA external on video content for football.
- Generate original story ideas and develop fresh angles and perspectives for content executions.
- Help identify long and short-term story/content ideas alongside football content/social team.
- Shoot video of all football activities (games, practice, strength training, etc.)
- Log and archive materials according to established data asset management guidelines.
- Research and develop innovative techniques related to video production to ensure cutting-edge practices for Illinois football.
- Coordinate and develop student video staff to ensure cohesiveness through all levels.
- Responsible for post-production workflow distribution.
- Create team hit films to be shown to the team prior to games.
- Help create and assign player end-of-the-year highlight films to student staff.
Other
- Assist in the strategy and planning of content for Illinois football social media platforms.
- Shoot or edit photos/video during Illinois football games (home and away), practices, strength training sessions and other events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with a college football program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience shooting and editing video content.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NCAA Division I-A football program or NFL programs
- Minimum of three (3) of video background
- Experience in the full Adobe Creative Suites, Cinema 4D and Blender
- Expertise in capturing video using Sony camera equipment, including but not limited to FX6, FX7 and A7iv

- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and work under time pressure deadlines. • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to clearly and proactively communicate plans and solutions. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. • Knowledge of web trends and digital technologies. • Must work well in a collaborative, team environment. • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 5/19/2025. Salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 and is commensurate with experience.
