There is a postdoctoral research opportunity available with the Department of Pathobiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The Gaulke Lab seeks creative and energetic applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to work on an exciting new NIH funded research project that will determine the role of the microbiome in the mediation of the toxic effects of agrochemical exposures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate or Terminal degree in microbiology, molecular biology or a related field is required. Experience in one or more of the following areas: shotgun metagenomics, bioinformatics, toxicology, or ecosystems modelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, be detail oriented, and be willing to actively engage with a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Appointment Information:

This is a 100% full-time non-tenure track Postdoctoral Research Associate position, appointed on a 12-month service basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after January 31, 2025. The budgeted annual salary range for the position is $58,500 to $65,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with applicant’s experience and qualifications.
