About the Role

Waypoint Analytical is hiring a full-time Seasonal Laboratory Technician for the Nutrien office in Research Park. This individual will be responsible for supporting the laboratory by following methodologies, performing analysis, and interpreting data from samples.

This position is a seasonal position and is from October 2024 – December 2024. This position is required to be on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and analyzing samples for a wide variety of testing procedures including a variety of testing procedures.
  • Follow the outlined methodologies and Standard Operating Procedures for the tests assigned.
  • Learn to operate and maintain scientific equipment/instrumentation.
  • Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.
  • Assist group leaders and analysts in ordering and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of laboratory equipment and areas.
  • Model our core value of safety by enabling a culture in which you are actively contributing to a safe work environment.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of analytical method, instruments, general lab practices, and lab safety.
  • Willingess and ability to work day, evening, or overnight shifts.
