As a Lead Logistics Project Manager, you will provide leadership, supervision and support to ensure a special event, entertainment or other large project involving substantial specialty region products and applications, runs smoothly and efficiently to optimize customer service. You will oversee a team of Project Logistics Managers (PLM), provide fleet, service and operational expertise to execute large projects and events, including natural disasters, emergency response, and other major events requiring rapid and substantial fleet deployment. You’ll also focus on driving service excellence, which will facilitate project execution, including OECNA reduction, technician training and development, fluid equipment and asset movement and other service enablers of project or event success.

What you'll do:

  • Manage PLM team to ensure projects and events are executed in a timely and coordinated manner, and provide leadership and supervision needed to consistently deliver World-Class service to external customers at the project site

  • Evaluate, recruit, hire and manage the performance of PLMs throughout the Region, conduct annual performance evaluations; Recommend PLM training and development

  • Work with field staff to arrange for proper project or event coverage, including product and application needs, staffing, fleet and service requirements

  • Leading PLMs, promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication

  • Lead Region-wide strategic fleet service and safety campaigns

  • Spearhead training of Service Managers or service leads to maximize branch service excellence for large project capabilities

  • Participate in pre-project planning meetings and strategy sessions for unforeseen natural disasters or events requiring rapid mobilization of assets and staffing

  • Meet with high level customer representatives as needed to plan for large project or event

  • Meet with high level customer representatives during project or event to ensure their needs being met; address issues if required

  • Act as region leader to oversee largest region projects and events, in concert with PLMs; Be onsite for projects and events as necessary;

  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • 3+ years of service, operational and project or event based oversight

  • Solid leadership and communication skills to motivate and maximize employee performance

  • High level technical knowledge of applicable specialty region products and applications, with strong customer service and relationship skills

  • Extensive logistics, project management and leadership experience in large scale projects/events

  • Sales experience a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, RentalMan)

  • Result oriented with ability to influence others

  • Demonstrated strengths in logistical planning, analysis, prioritizing and problem solving

  • Performance management and coaching skills

  • Up to 75% travel throughout year to projects or events; may be required to remain at project or event for its duration
