The Card Specialist is responsible for performing tasks related to debit and credit card usage and providing resources and support to internal and external members. This position will support members by responding to inquiries, completing tickets, and providing solutions. This position will also work daily reports, complete general ledger posting and reconciliation, and perform maintenance on accounts using multiple programs.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Consistently provide outstanding service that supports the credit union's culture of DoMoreGood and the established core values.
• Support consumer and business cardholders with error resolution, statements, exceptions, service requests, and dispute inquiries.
• Prioritize and complete support tickets within determined SLAs.
• Process approved credit card applications for new cards, card upgrades, and limit increases.
• Process returned payments, monetary adjustments, and fee refunds as outlined.
• Maintain and adjust accurate promotional rates, Reward points, and cashback.
• Perform portfolio maintenance.
• Maintain reports, make general ledger entries, and perform daily reconciliation of general ledgers related to ATMs, debit card transaction settlement, and credit card transaction settlement.
• Prepare charge off lists for debit and credit card fraud for board approval and process approved charge-offs.
• Provide backup to Card Fraud Specialist, including determining eligible cases per applicable regulations, processing cases with appropriate vendors, and monitoring cases for fraud trends.
• Provide guidance and assistance with inquiries beyond the scope of Member Facing staff. Refer problems that are beyond their authority to appropriate team members.

Experience
One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education
A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
