GENERAL FUNCTION

The Stephens Family YMCA offers a variety of birthday party options for families on weekends. Birthday Party Staff are responsible for giving families who host birthday parties at the YMCA a positive and enjoyable experience. Party Staff will primarily help set up for parties, assist hosts with decorating, directing guests and clean up after parties are finished. Party Staff will often be responsible for multiple parties at a time.

KNOW-HOW

No experience is needed for this position. Applicants who will succeed most in this position will have the following:

· A friendly and outgoing personality

· A desire to work with other employees and YMCA members

· Good customer service skills

· The ability to adapt to different situations

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

· Party Staff must interact with party hosts and guests

· Set up tables, chairs and decorations for parties

· Greet guests and direct them to their party

· Monitor party and help with requests from party hosts

· Clean up party rooms after parties are finished

· Notifying the Director when supplies are low and need to be replenished

· Giving excellent customer service to the party host and guests

HOURS

Saturday and Sunday evenings

3-4 hour shifts between 3pm – 8pm
