We are a dynamic, welcoming 360-unit Homeowner’s Association located near Santa Barbara, CA, on 42 acres of beautifully maintained landscaping. We seek an experienced, self-directed and analytical General Manager to direct the daily activities of our Landscaping and Maintenance Supervisors and office staff, and to provide excellent service to our residents and owners in a fast-paced environment.
Essential duties:
• Prepares and presents draft of the annual budget to the Board. Monitors the budget.
• Maintains Association bank accounts and accurate financial statements.
• Works with the Association's CPA to assure timely annual reviews and tax returns, and with our Reserve Specialists to obtain an accurate annual reserve study.
• Reviews A/R, A/P, timecards and financial statements.
• Provides assistance and guidance to the Board and its Committees. Provides annual training.
• Produces meeting agendas, Board packets and other required materials.
• Responds in a timely manner to resident and owner requests for service. Keeps members and
residents informed of current events and notifications.
• Reviews the work of the Supervisors and the office staff, assuring that tasks and work orders are
completed timely, safely and to established standards.
• Maintains written results of annual and biennial reviews.
• Establishes and maintains a harmonious and efficient work environment.
• Holds regularly scheduled staff and group meetings.
• Reviews labor laws and regulations.
• Attends Committee meetings in an advisory capacity as requested.
• Monitors property for safety, security, compliance, and maintenance, including after-hours calls.
• Duplicates all electronic files in a suitable online data account.
• Assures reliable data protection. Maintains documentation of recovery techniques.
Requirements:
• 2-5 years of experience in HOA management
• Familiarity with Governing Documents, Davis-Stirling Act, relevant Civil and Corporate Codes,
Labor Laws (both Federal and State) and other relevant regulations
• Current CAI certification- Assn. Management Specialist or Professional Community Assn. Manager
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, TOPS (One)
• Meets the standards of FHA for a Fidelity Bond
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining a productive, positive environment
• Bilingual helpful
• Commitment to working with seniors
• Business degree preferred; emphasis in H.R., Communications, Accounting/ Finance or related
field
