    Responsibilities(To include but not limited to the following)Client Relationship & Business DevelopmentAct as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteriaOperationsInspect or perform audits on incoming material, using measuring and gauging tools and visual techniques in determining conformance to engineering specificationsDetermine the method(s) and process(es) needed to measure part conformance, according to the allowed dimensional tolerances and normal gauging practicesDocument and report non-conformances to specifications using computerized quality documentation systemContain non-conforming parts and materialsSort and rework non-conforming parts and materialPrioritize the order of short-quantity loads, and manage FIFO flow of received goodsComplete other duties and/or responsibilities as assignedDemonstrated ability in handling and maintaining precision measuring tools, equipment, and gaugesPerform visual inspection of painted surfaces, surface defects, cleanliness and packagingOperating-level proficiency using computer software programsAble to unpack and repackage incoming materials safely and as instructedOperating-level knowledge of material handling equipment - pallet jacks and hoistsPerform visual inspection of various types of weldsOther duties and/or responsibilities as assignedOrganization & ManagementCollect and record data for ManagementThis position does not include supervisory responsibilities

    Previous Quality Auditor experience required with use of tools including micrometers and calipers as well as blueprint reading.

    TechnicalComprehension-level knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings (blueprints)Comprehension-level knowledge and understanding of inspection techniques, and the selection and manipulation of measuring tools, equipment, and gauges (micrometers, calipers etc.)Demonstrated ability in interpreting engineering specificationsComprehension-level knowledge and ability to interpret geometrically dimension and tolerance (GD&T) engineering drawings
