Location: Urbana, Illinois 

Start date: mid to late October 2026

Hourly wage: This is an hourly, part-time, year-round position. The starting wage is $19-20 per hour, with 15-20 hours per week available. Along with financial compensation, team members have access to fresh produce throughout the season. 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

The Financial Coordinator will coordinate financial inputs and outputs and will provide a snapshot of the financial health of the organization to management in order to support Sola Gratia Farm’s mission. 

Essential roles and responsibilities: 

● Pay bills weekly; 

● Enter debits and deposits into Quickbooks weekly; 

● Count and reset cash boxes weekly; 

● Complete payroll and taxes for up to 30 staff members bi-weekly; 

● Reconcile all bank statements monthly; 

● Inform and prepare budget, cash flow tracking and financial reporting; 

● Upkeep accurate filing of grant income and expenses in QB & paper files; 

● Process hired personnel in QB and with State of IL; 

● Complete and report quarterly and year end tax documents; 

● Provide yearly Audit support to CPA; 

● Additional duties as assigned. 

Desired qualifications: 

● Positive, friendly and professional demeanor; 

● Organized and close attention to detail; 

● Effective communicator, both in person and in writing 

● Self-directed 

● Working knowledge of Google Drive, word processing and spreadsheet software 

● Working knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop 

● Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 

● Knowledge of Quickbooks Payroll and new hire documentation (preferred)
