Job Description

SafeWorks Illinois is a locally owned, independent Occupational Health Clinic serving businesses throughout Central Illinois. We are currently hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), EMT, or Phlebotomist to join our clinical team.

The position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys hands-on clinical work and is confident administering IM injections and performing phlebotomy in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain patient medical history and vital signs
• Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens
• Administer IM injections and medications per protocol
• Performing Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
• Suture removal, wound care, and dressing changes
• Drug and alcohol testing (Training provided)
• Provide support for occupational injury care and follow-up
• Provide telephone support to patients and employer clients
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active CMA, EMT, or Phlebotomy certification or license
• Strong experience with phlebotomy and laboratory draws
• Comfortable administering IM injections independently
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience
• Experience in Occupational Health, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care
• EMR experience
• BLS certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Experience:

• phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
