Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Summary:

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Champaign Illinois.

Pavlov Media, a leader in telecommunications and fiber optic internet services, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist as part of our Accounts Receivable team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records, and assist with optimizing our accounts receivable processes. This role is essential in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the company by ensuring our revenue streams remain healthy and consistent.

• Invoice Management: Generate, review, and distribute accurate invoices to customers, ensuring compliance with company policies and billing cycles.
• Payment Processing: Record and process incoming payments, applying them to the correct accounts and ensuring timely reconciliation with the general ledger.
• Collections: Monitor outstanding accounts receivable, identify overdue accounts, and initiate collection efforts through regular communication with customers.
• Dispute Resolution: Work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, or payment issues, ensuring satisfactory outcomes.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status, aging analysis, and collection performance to management.
• Compliance: Ensure all accounts receivable activities adhere to company policies, accounting principles, and relevant legal regulations.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, finance, or a related role.
• Familiarity with the telecommunications or technology industry is preferred, though not required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and fair credit practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience in managing and analyzing large datasets to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
• Proven experience in handling customer accounts, including resolving billing issues and managing collections is required.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and experience in automating accounts receivable processes to improve efficiency.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
