Essential Job Functions: Recruit, orient, and register new students. Assess student skill level and enroll in appropriate course. Provide retention and follow-up of current and former students. Collaborate with partner agencies to provide support services as needed for identified students: career assessment, mentoring, advising, and linkages to other resources. Track student acquisition of support services Assist with tracking and reporting of student progress toward goal completion and highlighting student success stories. Maintain accurate and complete student records. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and related work experience. Experience working with adult learners and non-traditional students. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including speaking in front of large and small groups, ability to listen effectively and respond accordingly. Demonstrated competence working with a diverse population. Prospective new hires will successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check with fingerprinting. The background check review includes, but is not limited to, exclusionary offenses per the Illinois School Code and Title IV of the Higher Education Act.
