Early College programs give students the opportunity to take college classes while still in high school! E ligible high school students can enroll in Parkland College courses, simultaneously earning credit toward a specialized certification, associate degree, or bachelor degree, and at the same time, earn credit toward high school graduation requirements. Dual Credit students can take courses on the Parkland College campus, online, and even at their home high school. Parkland College seeks Dual Credit Instructors to teach dual credit courses at their home high schools as part of Parkland College Early College Services Program. Teaching will occur during regular school hours, part-time, Monday-Friday. Instructors are paid through their school district and their work week will very per semester. For more Information regarding department programs click: Early College Services Applicants must submit An online Parkland College employment application Cover Letter Resume or CV Teaching philosophy Copy of your official transcript from the institution where you received your highest degree. Essential Job Functions Participate in training provided by the College in course curriculum, assessment methods, and administrative requirements. Provide a copy of the course syllabus to the College. Deliver instruction using College’s course content and learning objectives. Provide a copy of the course syllabus to each student enrolled in the dual credit course. Complete timely grading. Maintain communication with the Early College Faculty Director. Minimum Requirements Applicants must currently be teaching at an area high school. Dual Credit Instructors shall meet any of the faculty credential standards allowed by the Higher Learning Commission to determine minimally qualified faculty.
