This position is a Part-Time, 12-Month, Professional Support Staff appointment with an annual salary of $28,583.15.

The Enterprise Applications Analyst works within a team environment to maintain, optimize, and manage multi-tier administrative systems. The Enterprise Applications Analyst will lead and participate in system analysis, requirements gathering and project management for maintaining and upgrading existing systems as well as deploying new enterprise information systems. The Enterprise Applications Analyst provides technical support to advise, develop, implement, document, and maintain the College’s administrative computer systems. The position involves frequent handling of confidential information and records. Minimal supervision is provided; the Enterprise Application Analyst must be able to work independently and accurately prioritize tasks.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide the highest level of understanding of the College’s enterprise information systems.
  • Focus includes continued process and workflow analysis, enhanced module functionality, and application/upgrade support.
  • Management and coordination of information system problem solving solution development, decision-making, and participation in planning that will further the mission and vision of the current and future business and academic environments.
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into system deliverables including configuration and testing related to enterprise information systems.
  • Participate in various IT Governance Committees.
  • Serve as administrative and academic systems expert resource on process/functionality issues.
  • Assist users in functional areas to understand and apply Colleague and related systems processes and provide subject-matter expertise to internal and external clients as required.
  • Keep informed of and apply contemporary technology related to ERP systems.
  • Create data queries, scripts, workflows, and reports related to enterprise information systems.
  • Interact with vendors regarding software upgrades, patches, etc.
  • Potential off-hour support as requested and approved by the CIO.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Information Technology or related field; or an equivalent combination of work experience, training and education.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check with fingerprinting.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written with the ability to frame technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical users.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to work with diverse groups of individuals and build partnerships.  
  • Ability to work independently, to be a team leader and to work as a team member.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and to work with shifting priorities and schedules.
  • Ability to learn the Parkland information system and new programs as technology changes.
  • In an effort to comply with SURS return-to-work restrictions for employers (40 ILCS 5/15-139.5), candidates for employment at Parkland College must either not be a SURS annuitant or must be willing to suspend his/her SURS annuity upon employment. This applies to all SURS annuitants except those receiving their annuity under either the Self-Managed Plan (SMP) or by lump sum payment.
