POSITION SUMMARY: Reports to Supply Chain Management and assists management in directing the activities of supply chain personnel engaged in inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, breakout, and distribution of all service area supplies. Assigns staff and prioritizes work assignments. Assists in the interviewing, orientation, training, evaluation, discipline, and timekeeping tasks of assigned supply chain staff as well as inventory and order supplies.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical, mathematical, computer, and communication skills in order to create and analyze reports, assign work, evaluate, educate and discipline staff, and prepare orders, at a level normally acquired through completion of an Associate's Degree in Business (or related field) or through 2 years of progressively more responsible related work experience.
- 2 years Material Management experience in order to learn department functions, gain supply knowledge, learn handling, ordering, and storage procedures, learn sterile technique requirements, and learn department information systems.
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with various Medical Center personnel and outside vendors when gathering and exchanging information, and with subordinates in providing effective leadership.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when creating and reports, ordering, reconciling on hands, analyzing data
