$5,000 -1 year work commitment

$10,000 - 2 year work commitment

At OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, our multidisciplinary team of clinicians is focused on providing high-quality care to their physical, occupational, and speech therapy patients in the acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient settings. Our team approach to rehab creates an environment that promotes engagement and collaboration. Clinicians are involved in performance improvement initiatives and have ample opportunities for continuing education hours through our Center for Expertise.

OSF Rehabilitation offers an environment for clinicians that is supportive in professional development and offers paid continuing education units, tuition reimbursement for further education, and 401k with $1 per $1 match on first 5% of salary.

OSF will invest in you on day 1! Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience will receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time that will be available for use beginning day 1. This is in addition to our generous time-off benefits.

Expected pay for this position is $26.46 - $31.13/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Physical Therapist Assistant, under the general supervision of a Physical Therapist, assists in administering the Physical Therapists' treatment plan. Administers and monitors patient's response to therapeutic exercises, transfer training, gait training, and other treatments in accordance with the physical therapists treatment plan.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy

Licensure/Certifications:

  • State license as Physical Therapist Assistant
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire​​

Skills/knowledge:

  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills to work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.
  • Analytical ability to identify and report changes in patient's condition to a physical therapist.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Valid driver's license
