For diners, we're the easiest way to discover and order from the kitchens around them. For restaurants, we're the system that predicts demand, streamlines operations, and turns guesswork into revenue they can plan around. The independent restaurant market is one of the largest in the world and one of the worst served by modern software, and we're building the platform that drags it into the future. We move fast, we're built to scale, and we're looking for a Growth Marketing Lead to help more diners discover NoshBox, turn attention into app downloads and orders, and build the growth engine behind our fall launch.
The job
- Plan, launch, and optimize paid growth campaigns across Meta and TikTok, including creative testing, audience testing, budget pacing, and campaign reporting.
- Design clean growth experiments for each channel with a clear hypothesis, starting cost-per-customer target, budget, timeline, and read window. Find what acquires customers efficiently, then scale what works.
- Own the customer acquisition funnel from awareness to app download to first order to repeat purchase.
- Track cost per customer by channel, monitor performance weekly, maintain a simple growth dashboard, and clearly recommend what we should do more of, less of, or stop doing.
- Run referral programs, promo codes, first-order offers, and double-sided credit campaigns that drive efficient acquisition and repeat usage.
- Build and improve email, push notification, and lifecycle marketing flows that bring diners back after signup, first order, and repeat purchases.
- Find and own partnership opportunities across Champaign-Urbana, including residential leasing companies, Greek life, UIUC departments, student organizations, local employers, community groups, and other high-signal local partners.
- Plan and execute occasional events, pop-ups, tabling campaigns, and on-the-ground growth activations that increase NoshBox visibility and drive measurable app usage.
- Work closely with the founder and content team to connect growth strategy with creative, social content, merchant launches, and campus campaigns.
- Combine analytical thinking with real-world hustle: you should be comfortable reading a spreadsheet, calculating CAC and ROI, walking into a partnership meeting, and making things happen on the ground.
The ideal candidate
- Quantitative, analytical, and comfortable working with ad spend, CAC, conversion rates, retention, ROI, and basic growth dashboards.
- Comfortable in paid ad platforms such as Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager, or willing to learn quickly.
- Has experience with analytics tools such as GA4, Mixpanel, PostHog, Looker Studio, or similar tools.
- Thinks in experiments, customer acquisition cost, and conversion rates instead of vanity metrics.
- Has run or helped run paid campaigns with a real budget, whether through a job, internship, student organization, startup, side project, or personal brand.
- Is a self-starter who can own a number, make decisions, and move fast without needing to be micromanaged.
- Knows how to hustle locally: finding partnership opportunities, following up, getting meetings, and turning conversations into results.
- Understands the UIUC and Champaign-Urbana market, or has strong marketplace, app, consumer, restaurant, student, or e-commerce growth experience.
- Communicates clearly and can tell the team what is working, what is not, and what we should do next.
- Wants a serious startup growth role with room to grow into Head of Growth, CMO-level responsibilities, or a broader leadership role as NoshBox scales.
The details
- Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week.
- W-2 role.
- $26/hour to start, with flexibility for strong experience and room for performance-based incentives.
- Must be on-site in Champaign-Urbana for partnership work, events, campus activations, and team execution.
- Anticipated start date: July 1, 2026.
- Reports directly to the founder.
- This is a high-ownership role with the chance to grow significantly as NoshBox scales.
