As we continue scaling our development and manufacturing platform, we are seeking a Director or Senior Director of Capital Markets to manage the ongoing execution of structured financing transactions and support the capital strategy for Z Modular.
Position Overview
The Director / Senior Director – Capital Markets plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing capital strategy across the growing portfolio of real estate developments and potential partnerships with external investors.
This role partners closely with members of Executive Leadership, Strategic Development, Operations, Legal and FP&A teams to structure and execute complex financing transactions, optimize liquidity, and support long-term value creation for Z Modular.

Key Responsibilities
Capital Structure Strategy & Financial Modeling
Support development of enterprise capital strategy aligned with growth objectives
Lead execution of approved capital strategies across development projects and operating entities
Optimize capital structure through advanced modeling, liquidity forecasting, and leverage analysis
Evaluate funding strategies for new developments, acquisitions, and expansion initiatives
Perform complex modeling for development opportunities for Z Modular’s real estate pipeline and third-party joint ventures
Advise executive leadership on capital allocation, financing alternatives, and risk exposure
Debt & Project Financing
Source and negotiate project-specific construction loans, bridge and permanent financing as well as multi-asset facilities
Ensure compliance with financial covenants and reporting obligations
Prepare lender materials & investor packages, transaction presentations, and detailed financial models
Managing Capital Partner Relationships
Build and maintain strong relationships with external lenders, investors, and capital partners
Represent Z Modular in financing discussions with professionalism and executive presence
Leverage institutional relationships while cultivating new partnerships over time
An existing lender network is not required, but relationship-building experience is essential
Risk Management & Market Analysis
Monitor liquidity position, debt maturity profiles, and refinancing risk
Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis incorporating construction timelines and market dynamics
Track capital markets trends and identify opportunistic financing strategies
Strategic Collaboration
Partner cross-functionally with Land Acquisition, Strategic Development, Operations, and FP&A to develop models and presentation materials for Executive Leadership
Provide well-vetted recommendation to Leadership on land acquisition opportunities, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships from a capital structuring perspective
Build scalable capital processes to support growth in a private enterprise environment
Qualifications
Experience
10–15+ years of progressive experience in real estate investments, capital markets, corporate finance, structured finance, or investment banking
Experience in real estate development, construction finance, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries preferred
Demonstrated success leading complex modeling for real estate investment transactions and negotiations
Experience within private or closely held organizations preferred
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
MBA or advanced finance degree preferred
Skills & Competencies
Advanced financial modeling and capital structure analysis expertise
Strategic thinker able to translate financial complexity into actionable insight
Deep understanding of credit agreements, covenant structures, and capital markets dynamics
Executive-level communication and negotiation skills
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary Range: [$180,000 - $230,000]
Final offers will be based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
