Zekelman is seeking a dynamic Leadership & Execution Specialist for our Pipe & Tube division. This role is fully remote and will report directly to the Director of Operational Improvement & Sustainability.
Job Summary:
The Leadership & Execution Specialist is responsible for driving operational excellence across our manufacturing facilities, focusing on building leadership capability and ensuring consistent execution of operational standards company wide. This role will partner directly with plant managers, department leaders, and front-line supervisors to develop and implement effective operating disciplines, coach leader standards, and ensure that improvements are sustained.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with plant managers, supervisors, and leadership teams to establish and sustain core leadership behaviors; Gemba walks, effective pass-downs, proactive planning, and daily management routines.
- Coach leaders at all levels to strengthen people-process disciplines and reinforce consistent execution practices.
- Support post-engagement sustainability through regular remote check-ins with site leadership teams- ensuring behaviors and practices remain embedded.
- Conduct spot checks on implemented initiatives to monitor progress, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Serve as a resource for plant leadership to navigate new challenges and sustain performance improvements.
- Partner with the Operations leadership team to share best practices across Zekelman facilities and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience which includes 10+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing or operations will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated success leading operations teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to coach and develop leaders at multiple levels, from front-line supervisors to plant managers.
- Strong understanding of leader standard work, Gemba walks, proactive planning, and performance management practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, clearly convey expectations, provide feedback, and influence leaders at all levels.
- Guide leaders in developing, interpreting, and leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive performance, measure results, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other basic business tools; able to build and interpret reports, analyze data, and support decision-making.
- Ability to travel moderately (approximately 50%) to Zekelman facilities across North America.
Compensation for this role is $71,000 - $124,000.
