We have an opening for one full-time Health Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) primarily focusing on Individual (under 65) and Medicare products. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, works well with others, seeks to build a long-term career, and possesses exemplary customer service skills.
This position is an in-office role based out of the Urbana, IL location.

Qualifications/Skills for the Health Insurance Customer Service Representative:
- Illinois Health & Life Insurance License is required, must be able to obtain within 90 days of start date. Class and test fees covered by Loman-Ray.
- At least 1 year of customer service or client-facing experience is required
- Strong knowledge of computer software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), agency management system, and web based operations
- Have an understanding of Insurance terminology
- Knowledge of general insurance regulations
- Must have strong communication skills; written, verbal and listening (with customers and staff in a work environment)
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Exceed customer expectations relating to professionalism of demeanor, efficient and effective level of service (on phone or in person) and maintenance of workstation and office
- Work under pressure in a high volume, fast paced customer service environment
Responsibilities for the Health Insurance Customer Service Representative:
- Provides a high level of support services to the customer related to the sales function including: servicing insurance policies, processing applications, renewals and amendments
- Service customer by taking necessary insurance payments (initial, installment, lapse or reinstatement)
- Respond to customer inquiries and refers to agents when appropriate
- Provides a high level of administrative support to Insurance Agents during peak periods
- Participate in a team environment to promote consistent service and a high level of customer satisfaction
- Receive and resolve customer complaints/issues and seek assistance from management for necessary resolution when needed
- Participate in office events developed to generate revenue, team building, improve customer awareness of products and support local community activities
- Servicing insurance policies and processing applications, renewals, and amendments
- Responding to billing and coverage questions
- Promoting the sale of insurance products
- Processing monetary transactions
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
