Production Supervisor – 1st Shift The Production Supervisor – 1st Shift is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations while promoting a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork. This position supervises production employees, coordinates workflow, and ensures production goals are achieved efficiently and safely. As a key member of the manufacturing leadership team, the Production Supervisor provides hands-on leadership within a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills while serving as a liaison between employees and management. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Lead and supervise production employees to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
- Plan and coordinate staffing, work assignments, and production schedules.
- Monitor production processes and address issues impacting quality, efficiency, or delivery.
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe working environment.
- Train, coach, and develop employees on work procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
- Address employee concerns, performance issues, and workplace conflicts.
- Inspect materials, equipment, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
- Ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available to support production requirements.
- Complete performance reviews, disciplinary documentation, attendance tracking, timecard approvals, and other supervisory responsibilities.
- Maintain production, labor, and operational records and prepare reports as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, quality standards, and workplace safety.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
- Ability to work in a drug-free workplace and pass required screenings.
Preferred - Conversational Spanish.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and more than 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to operate or work around manufacturing equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and typical manufacturing conditions.
- Frequent communication using radios and other communication devices.
Compensation & Benefits Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 annually Schedule: 1st Shift Monday - Friday Overtime as required Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Basic Life, Voluntary Life, and 401(k) with Company Match up to 6%.
