Job Description

Role Overview:

The Head of Supply & Planning will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of our operational strategy, enabling the company to scale efficiently while maintaining exceptional service levels and delivering on our brand ethos. This leader will oversee end-to-end supply chain planning, inventory management, and customer service operations, ensuring alignment with our growth objectives and operational goals. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a change-agent, a collaborative leader, and a hands-on executor with deep expertise in supply chain management, planning, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a scalable supply chain and planning strategy aligned with the company’s growth trajectory and brand values.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align operational goals with broader business objectives, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies leveraging resources and expertise from the parent company.

2. Sales Operations & Customer Service:

  • Lead the Sales Operations and Customer Service teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, ensuring seamless order fulfillment and communication.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to align operational capabilities with promotional strategies and seasonal demand spikes.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance customer service levels and reduce lead times.

3. Planning (Demand, Supply, Production):

  • Oversee demand planning, supply planning, and production planning processes to ensure accurate forecasting and optimal resource allocation.
  • Implement advanced planning tools and methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness to market changes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and co-packing partners to ensure production schedules align with demand and inventory targets.

4. Inventory, Materials & ERP Management:

  • Optimize inventory management processes to balance service levels, working capital, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure effective materials planning and procurement to support production needs while minimizing waste and obsolescence.
  • Lead ERP system management and enhancements to improve data accuracy, reporting, and operational efficiency.

5. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team across all pillars of Supply & Planning
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the operations team.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to support their growth and career progression.

6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency, service levels, and cost savings.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on operational performance and progress against goals.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making across all operational functions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end supply chain, planning, or operations functions within the CPG industry, including oversight of complex, multi-site networks and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of scaling operations in a high-growth environment, ideally with experience in a $150M+ business.
  • Expertise in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) – bonus for ERP transition experience!
  • Management of large teams across hourly and salaried populations; responsibility for our operations office in Oxnard, CA
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$159,400.00 - $199,200.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
