Global Manufacturing Traineeship Program 2024 (12-months)
Location - Kitt Green, Wigan UK
Type - Graduate Traineeship
The Kraft-Heinz Global Manufacturing Traineeship is a functional program at our factories for graduates seeking an exciting leadership career in the manufacturing environment. The program will give you a chance to explore different areas in Operations and Supply Chain. You will become an expert in your field and after the year is complete, you will have the chance to stay in a role within our factory!
Our GMT candidates begin their Kraft-Heinz journey in September 2024, initially working in London for a 5-week bootcamp, followed by the rest of your placement in our Kitt Green, Wigan factory in the UK.
You will be on an initial 12-month traineeship as part of a Global cohort. During this time, you will broaden your overall knowledge of how a multinational food company operates, including:
- Extensive, hands-on onboarding focused on our Operations and Supply Chain functions, complemented with a Commercial boot-camp focusing on Marketing, Sales and Category.
- Training in Lean Six Sigma Methodology, Kraft-Heinz Manufacturing Excellence Program and a range of other foundational business trainings.
- A factory Team Leader assignment, where you will develop a deep understanding of our manufacturing processes while also strengthening your leadership skills.
- A factory-based efficiency/productivity improvement business project where you can apply your learning to create real impact.
Following graduation, you will transition into your first role to set you on an Operations Management or Technical Expertise path at one of our factories.

What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree completed in 2023 or 2024 – Engineering, Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Food Science or Supply Chain are advantageous; however, this program is open to graduates from any field.
- Right to work in the UK by the time of September 2024
- A willingness to move across functional areas and relocate to different countries.
- Strong extra-curricular achievements that reflect a proactive attitude and ownership.
- Passionate about being challenged daily and ready to constantly learn, develop and grow.
- Have a can-do attitude.
- Proficiency in English and in the language of the country you are applying to
- You are consumer obsessed, dare to do better every day, champion great people, demand diversity, do the right thing, and own it.
Timeline of the hiring process:
November-December 2023 - applications open
- Pymetrics assessment: after your application you will find a link for Pymetrics in your email; your opportunity to play some games that will assess your compatibility with the program!
- Video interview: once through first stage, you'll have the opportunity to record a quick video interview.
January-February 2024
- Trainee interview: you will have the chance to meet one of our former trainees and ask questions about the program.
- Business interview: you will meet one of our senior employees in a Microsoft Teams interview.
- Assessment Day: with other selected candidates you will spend a day meeting team members of the company and completing an online escape room!
- Panel Interview: last step of the process, where you will meet senior leaders of the company.
- Final offer for successful applicants for the programme.
