DESCRIPTION:

Assist Site Quality Manager in reaching Quality Objectives through inspection of incoming material, in-process material, and finished goods. Auditors will be responsible for filling out Material Inspection Reports (MIR), Product Inspection Reports (PIR), sorting defective material, recording counts on defective material so that a PHRED can be written. Identifying and acting on in-process defects, proposing resolutions for defective processes or products, inspecting individual replacement units, inspecting replacement orders, sampling finished goods warehouse and raw material warehouses for defects, identifying Opportunities to Improve to the Site Quality Manager or recording them themselves, and working to find permanent solutions to issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Finished Product Audits – 20% minimum of products on line to PIR.
• Frame Corner seal fill audits – 2/3 checks per day, breaking frames apart, inspecting for proper fill
• Glazing Machine Audits – Once per hr checking glazing bead size and location
• 4 times daily walking entire production line and inspecting each process to the SOP/LPA if available. If not available working with Group Leader to get the documentation posted
• Visual Aides – working with line employees on visual aide defect boards at all locations
• SDL grid inspections – auditing SDL application to SOP
• Window and Door bucks – 1 window per hr checking operation. SLPD, force gauge testing on operation.
• Measurement Accuracy Log – maintaining check tape measure and calipers check for operators
• SRV orders – working with line group leads and manager to inspect service replacement orders and filling out proper paperwork
• Assist in the training of employees on new processes or new employees on existing process.
• Work with group Manager on A-3 problem solving projects.
• Maintaining the Quality portion of the SQDCI board.
