Opportunity: A new opportunity based at our headquarter in Champaign, Illinois, for a Microscopy Product Specialist to join the ISS Team and perform a wide range of responsibilities involving the installations of the FLIM and FFS platforms, instrument demonstrations, sales support, in house and on site customer training, in house and onsite customer support. Responsibilities include: Installation of microscopy systems; participate in and assist with scientific trade shows, conferences and user meetings; visit active LSM sales opportunities with Sales team for technical presentations and discussions; assist Sales team in closing LSM orders; maintain the instruments in the demo laboratory in peak performing condition; perform or assist in instrument demonstrations and training sessions (in house and at customer laboratories); provide customer support (phone coverage and on-site); contribute to manuals, marketing materials and other documentation; perform other duties as required. Qualifications: Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, life science, or related areas; ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain confocal microscopy systems; willingness to be mentored and learn new applications; excellent oral and written English communication; proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to build positive work relationships; highly self-motivated with strong work ethic; ability to manage multiple priorities and time constraints; ability to complete training requirements; valid driver license.
