JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Production Control Assistant Manager
FLSA: Salary Exempt
Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Responsible for seat production planning/scheduling per customer daily requirement
- Responsible for managing MES systems upload and CLS coverage monitoring
- Demand review and forecasting while maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Monitor customer systems and online communication to identify shipping requirements on an hourly/daily basis, communication with customer on any issues which may affect schedule
- Constant tracking and execution of action plans to identify and eliminate shortages
- Follow escalation procedure if delivery schedules are threatened
- Make necessary changes to seat build schedule and load build plan in electronic systems, based on customer requirements
- Maintain daily/weekly/monthly/yearly production and shipping results
- Monitor, analyze and report performance to schedule of production activities on a daily basis
- Assist operational departments to actively manage the production, schedule work hours and resources
- Provide continual improvement of the planning and reporting processes
- Perform analysis of resources in order to ensure a smooth and efficient production process
- Data entry of all manual orders, seat build adjustment, and special build request
- Monitor systems to ensure all part numbers, customer FSC code and product data information flows through the system in a timely manner
- Participate in EO Meetings, and lead obsolescence events.
- Participation in physical inventory and monthly production closing
- Provides direction, development and leadership to team.
- Work with Human Resources to hire, train, evaluate, coach, resolve employee concerns, and process terminations.
- Support and adhere to 5S to keep work site clean and orderly consistently improving appearance of the team’s area. Active in following 5s—Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain organization of work area.
- Collaborate with Team Members, Team Leaders, Group Leaders and/or other members of Hyundai Transys to be active contributors to the team.
- Follow requirements of Quality policies and standards, such as, ISO 9001, TS16949, IATF16949
- Attend all required training as assigned.
- Comply with and promote company practices and policies in all areas including Safety, Standards of Conduct, Quality, Performance, and Communication.
- Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities that will ensure personal and company growth.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
Work Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience relevant experience in Production Control, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
- Experience in automotive seating manufacturing is a plus
Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing requirements and planning.
- Has knowledge of inventory management, lean best practices, and how Production Control is integrated with others.
- Proficient with computerized materials control programs. SAP and MES experience preferred.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills, with an emphasis on being proactive
- Positively interact, motivate, and influence people of diverse cultural backgrounds and with all levels employee, customer, vendors
- Must have effective, accurate oral and written communication skills with all levels employee, customer, vendors
- Must be proficient using MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint; SAP experience a plus
- Able to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Must have excellent critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills, with an emphasis on being proactive
- Ability to lead others to ensure customer requirements are met

- Required to raise arms overhead to work, reach, and carry
- Required to use close vision, peripheral vision, focus and see colors as required to read equipment and material labels, color-coded inventory, computer terminal screens, etc.
- May be required to wear safety Personal Protective Equipment for eyes, face, head, feet, hearing, hands and arms
- Ability to work extended hours, overtime and/or weekends as required
- ability to travel domestic US and/or international if needed
The employee generally works in warehouse and indoor office environments but occasionally works outside, in all types of weather and on uneven terrain.
