Key Responsibilities: Our CNC Operators are responsible for independently operating and performing routine setups on CNC machines to produce precision components that meet customer specifications. This position requires 1 to 5 years of previous CNC manufacturing experience, strong attention to quality, and the ability to troubleshoot routine machining issues while maintaining productivity and safety standards. - Independently operate one or more CNC mills, lathes, or other CNC equipment.
- Perform routine machine setups, including loading programs, changing tooling, setting offsets, and verifying first-piece quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering drawings, and process documentation.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and gauges.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities to improve cycle time, quality, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot routine machining and quality issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
- Complete production documentation accurately.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and maintain clean, organized workstations using 5S principles.
- Follow all safety, quality, and company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - High school diploma or GED required.
- 2–5 years of CNC machining or CNC operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing machine setups and tool changes.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Proficient in using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience: - Experience with CNC machining and operation (preferably with precision, complex, tight tolerance components).
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma exposure.
Physical Requirements - Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, and grasp.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery and measuring equipment.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Working Conditions - Manufacturing production environment.
- Regular exposure to machinery, metal materials, and industrial noise.
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to meet production demands.
