Job Title: Payroll & Compliance Specialist
Job Type: Full-time, Day Shift, 8am to 5pm M-F
Location: Champaign, IL
This position requires ITAR compliance and may involve access to technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Key Responsibilities:
Provides Customer Service/Sales cost estimates for quotations by estimating production requirements for machined parts; assessing material requirements, tooling/fixturing requirements, time requirements (set-up & cycle), complexity, and then communicates information back to the Customer Service/Sales departments.
  • Analyzes the design and determines process and quality requirements to estimate effective manufacturing methods required to produce Customer’s parts.
  • Applies manufacturing process knowledge, machining feeds and speeds and equivalent calculations to estimate process times at the detail level as required.
  • Develops an estimate of manufacturing times and related costs.
  • Calculates the most efficient cost of material, tooling, machine time, and labor to manufacture our Customer’s parts (including lead times).
  • Lists each tool, tool function and estimated hours for design, tool fabrication, inspection and material costs.
  • Trains and assists employees with estimating, machining and programming operations.
  • Advises management with equipment needs, maintenance, strategies and opportunities for improvement.
  • As estimating and training requirements are satisfied, this position shall additionally support CNC programming requirements as needed.
    • Develop CNC mill programs, tooling aids, and machine set ups to ensure optimum output from resources.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in a job shop or machine shop or in a similar production / manufacturing environment.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities, be self-motivated and highly organized, able to work independently and adapt in a diverse and demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of production scheduling and shop procedures.
  • Familiarity with production/manufacturing methods and process improvements (i.e. 5S or lean manufacturing).
  • Must meet ITAR requirements
  • Sponsorship is not available now nor in the future
Competencies:
  • MS Excel, Word, Email & TEAMS.
  • Familiar with CAD Model Software (Master Cam, Solid Works, Autodesk Preferred).
  • Manufacturing and /or Fabrications Skills preferred.
