Job Title: Industrial Maintenance MechanicStarting Pay Rate: $34.50 per hour ($35.50 after 6 months)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3pm-11pm, with mandatory overtime as neededReports To: Maintenance ManagerJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of facility equipment including presses, plating systems, paint line conveyors, compressors, and related mechanical systems.Responsibilities: Install and maintain equipment throughout the facility including polish heads, plating hoists, pumps, presses, paint line conveyor systems, and compressorsMaintain and troubleshoot motor control systems including pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systemsTroubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with Power & Free systems and equipment rack Read and accurately interpret blueprints and schematicsPerform welding for repair work as neededSafely operate cranes, hoists, forklifts, and aerial work platforms up to 60 feetUtilize and work with maintenance trades and components such as mechanical, welding, fabrication, and pipefittingPerform general repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtimeMaintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all safety and quality standardsWork in variable temperatures indoors and outdoors ranging from subzero to 150°FWear required PPE including respirator and Level B chemical suit when necessaryEmployees are required to provide their own toolsOther duties as assigned Shift is 8–12 hours. May work overtime up to 10–16 hours. Two 10-minute breaks per shift and a 20-minute meal break. Employees are paid for the entire time they are clocked in and do not clock out for breaks if taken on campus.Qualifications: Must be able to pass a pulmonary function test and respirator exam for negative pressure respiratory protectionMust be clean shaven in areas where a respirator seal is requiredMust be able to communicate in EnglishStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work within a team settingMust be able to demonstrate understanding of health and safety compliance training programs and departmental work instructions written in EnglishHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical or vocational training preferredPrevious maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Physical Demands: Lift a minimum of 50 lbsWork in awkward positions including lying on back and working overhead, inside pressesMust be able to climb ladders up to 20 feet and on top of equipment safely when neededRegularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach above head and below shoulder levelAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled environmentIf corrective lenses are required, must be able to wear glasses (contacts may be restricted in certain conditions)Weight limitation: must not exceed 310 lbs.
