Opportunity to work for a reputable and community-focused financial institution dedicated to a positive, collaborative work environment that encompasses the association’s mission to serve our members and the agricultural industry as we strive to help farm families succeed The Role The Vice President, Member Risk Solutions works directly with high‑risk borrowers and internal stakeholders to maximize recoveries, minimize credit losses, and protect Association capital. This role provides expertise in collections, loan workouts, credit analysis, and portfolio risk management while supporting informed decision‑making on distressed and delinquent loan relationships. What You Will Contribute Develop and negotiate collection, restructuring, and repayment strategies with borrowers, attorneys, lenders, accountants, and government agencies to maximize recoveries and minimize losses. Lead collection and recovery efforts by evaluating legal remedies, engaging professional resources, managing litigation support activities, and determining the most effective resolution strategies. Perform advanced credit analysis by evaluating financial information, assigning risk ratings, assessing collateral positions, and recommending credit decisions within delegated authority. Monitor and manage high‑risk and adversely classified loan relationships by identifying emerging risks, recommending classification changes, and supporting sound portfolio management practices. Develop and execute relationship strategies for delinquent accounts, including negotiating additional collateral, identifying recovery opportunities, and implementing action plans. Collaborate with field leadership and loan committees to evaluate troubled credit relationships, support loan decisioning, and promote effective risk mitigation strategies. Maintain accurate portfolio data, monitor trends, and provide analysis that supports credit quality, recovery efforts, and informed business decisions. What We Are Looking For Required Skills Working knowledge of credit analysis, loan collections, and legal and regulatory requirements related to credit administration. Strong understanding of production agriculture, finance, and macroeconomic factors that influence borrower performance and portfolio risk. Proven problem ‑ solving and negotiation skills with the ability to develop solutions for complex borrower situations and recovery efforts. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technology tools that support analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, agriculture, business, or related field and 3-5 years of related experience in financial analysis, credit underwriting, portfolio management, or loan collections Or equivalent education, experience, and skillset sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job Farm Credit Illinois is an Equal Employment / Affirmative Action employer .
