If you’re looking for a role where your fingerprints are on everything and your impact is real and lasting, this might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTORLeading People: You’ll serve as the direct supervisor for all program managers across the agency (including the Senior Resource Center, the Counseling Center, and the Self-Help Center) and provide oversight for the staff they lead.Keeping Grants on Track: Grant writing and compliance will be a major part of this role. You’ll write grant applications, manage timelines and deliverables, ensure compliance, and serve as the internal point of accountability for reporting deadlines.Supporting the Executive Director: You’ll help prepare for funding meetings, funder interviews, board presentations, and other key engagements.Managing Finances at the Program Level: Collaborate with ED, controller, bookkeeper, auditors, and Board Treasurer to ensure accurate financial tracking, support budgets, and keep program-level records current.Driving Quality: Work with program managers to ensure services meet the highest standards in client care, documentation, and data accuracy.Training & Developing Staff: Design and deliver staff training, ensure compliance with required trainings, and implement policies and procedures.WHAT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE LOOKS LIKESupervisory experience; organized & independent; relational; nonprofit experience; team player; a “rules” person who builds systems for consistent, equitable compliance.EDUCATION & TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in business, social work, nonprofit management, public administration, or related field required; master’s preferred.
